Congratulations!

If you're on this page - yay! I'm guessing you might be in the middle of pulling your dream wedding together, and I hope you're enjoying the process whatever stage you are at. I am a bridal hair and makeup specialist; it is what I love doing, it's what most of my time is spent doing, and I think my style complements what my brides are looking for perfectly; beautiful, radiant makeup and gorgeous, polished hair that makes you look like a first-rate version of yourself. My philosophy is that your partner and guests should see YOU on your wedding day and say - 'wow, you look incredible,' not 'your makeup looks nice' - a subtle but important difference! Below is some information regarding how I approach bridal makeup and hair - every wedding is unique so please do contact me for further information.

Trials

A trial is a run-through of your wedding makeup and/or hair, and it provides an opportunity for us to meet to discuss what you like and and how you would like to look and feel on the day. We get to try a few styles out and to design a completely customised look that makes you feel your very best. I always recommend a trial to my brides and they can take place anytime before the wedding.

A trial usually lasts 1.5 hours for makeup and around 2-2.5 hours for both hair and makeup so I can really get to know you and ensure you leave feeling confident and beautiful. During that time we'll discuss your current skincare routine and habits, along with a comprehensive consultation where we'll talk all about your wedding themes and colours, your makeup preferences and ensure that your makeup 'works' with all the other elements of your wedding. That then means when the day comes, you know exactly how you will look, and know that the makeup lasts and lasts. Trials can take place within my home studio in Glasgow, your house, or Glasgow city centre in Argyll Chambers.

I recommend wearing whatever colour and neckline style you are going to be wearing on your wedding, as well as bringing pictures of your dress, venue, bridesmaid's dresses - anything that will help me see and understand your style. Pinning inspirational images from Pinterest, Instagram or TikTok and sending them on before your trial or bringing them with you is a great place to start.

On the day

On the morning of your wedding, I will come to wherever you and your bridal party will be getting ready, or if you prefer you can come to my home studio. It is my number one priority to ensure you have a fabulous, relaxed, happy and calm experience while getting ready for your big day - I often remind my brides that the wedding morning is as much a part of your wedding day as the rest of it! We’ll already have set a schedule when you’re booked in, I tend to allow 45 minutes each per service for bridal party and 1 hour per service for the bride.

I like to stay beyond simply doing the makeup and hair, helping my brides and bridesmaids into their dresses, ensuring the flowers are dry and sitting perfectly and most importantly, ensuring the champagne glasses stay topped up! Bear in mind that your makeup artist and hair stylist are the suppliers you actually have the most face time with on your wedding day, so having a great rapport and relationship is key, and I am often told that I have enhanced my bride's wedding morning, which is the loveliest compliment I can think of.
